Luxury accommodation in quiet residential surroundings.
I can't say enough nice things about Ballantynes. I stayed there for a week with my mother and 4-month-old baby. We arrived late but the room had been set up beautifully with a crib and two rocking chairs. Our room was separate from the others so we didn't have to worry about the baby crying and disturbing other guests. As soon as we walked in, it felt as if we were welcomed into someone's home!
Lovely building, with interesting nooks and crannies and each room being different. Gorgeous garden setting with a dip pool and lovely garden / patio furniture to relax in. An amusing duck or too and a sweet, sweet kitty to really make you feel welcome. And lovely, lovely staff, who'll do anything you need, and think of things you didn't even know you'd need!
I have stayed at Ballantynes since January 2016 and it has become my home away from home. The lodge manager Hailie is a top-notch hostess and her caring, friendly and efficient management of the lodge can be directly tied to the lodge being such a great place.
